The Bean Counter: Expertise in creating imaginative and successful design solutions to fit any budget and time frame. Not to be confused with the accounting “bean counter”. We all know why we went to school for communications and not math!

In-House Contract Assignments

Graphic Designer

2001 – 2005

My assignments averaged 18 months at each location with daily on-site tasks and projects. I became an intricate part of each creative team. Several assignments progressed into traditional employment offers.

Blue Cross Blue Shield

Analyzed the internal bidding process to recognize inefficiencies and missed opportunities. Research revealed the minimum fees and project scope needed to make projects profitable and  indicated the fixed cost start-up fees for each project. The bidding process was substantially streamlined reducing the bidding time by at least 50% per bid.
I assisted in the facilitation of weekly group trainings for beginner WordPress users. It was rewarding to guide local business owners over the scary and unknown “WordPress” hurdle.
Facilitating individualized training sessions on such topics as UX, small business strategies and creative solutions. There is nothing better than seeing the lightbulb go on and facilitating an “aha” moment!
